Welcome to The Herbal Eye! I’m Sylvia Sheehy, a passionate medical herbalist, iridologist, and vitalistic nutritionist. I offer engaging and informative talks and workshops for businesses, organisations, schools, and community groups, covering a wide range of topics related to herbal medicine and holistic wellness. Each session can be thoughtfully tailored to suit your group’s needs, or I’m happy to share examples from previous workshops I’ve delivered within the community and for organisations such as Carers Ireland.

I trained with the Irish School of Herbal Medicine and at Core College in Kilkenny, and I remain deeply committed to my path of learning. I truly believe that working with nature is a lifelong journey, and I’m always expanding my knowledge and deepening my connection with plants and natural healing.

As part of this ongoing journey, I am currently enrolled in a reflexology programme with Core College. I’m really looking forward to integrating this beautiful therapy into my practice and hope to begin offering reflexology treatments to my clients by late autumn.

I chose the name The Herbal Eye because iridology is a key tool I use in my consultations, allowing me to observe patterns in the iris that help guide and personalise herbal support. As a fully qualified herbalist and iridologist, I am deeply passionate about my training and use this knowledge to view the body as a whole, working gently and naturally with each individual rather than treating symptoms in isolation.
